Pro-Lifers are not 'for' Life

A Letter to Paul Ryan:

You call yourself 'Pro-life' but i do not think your are really 'for' Life  -

You support an unborn fetus but don't care about the baby's life (or the mother's for that matter) once the pregnancy is over. Life doesn't end at birth it begins then.

If you are going to support a pregnancy then you have to support the long life that comes after it.

Children who are unwanted end up in foster care-being abused and dangerous to themselves and others. If you believe all fetuses should come to term, then at least you should protect social structures that assist young children who are already living to become responsible adults: quality education, healthy food, safe housing. (And I add to this list our public libraries, after school programs, job training for parents)

If an unwanted fetus is brought to term and is born, what happens after that? who is going to take care of the child? Are you, Paul Ryan, going to take responsibility for that child?

It is a hypocrisy to outlaw abortions but take away the social safety net for our children.

Have you seen the suffering and the severe sadness of a unwanted, hungry, uneducated and neglected child? You can see many of them in the hospital emergency rooms across America. You will see lot more of them if you get your way and take away the social services that protect these children.

Your argument is not about caring about 'life' or caring about the children who are already born, it is merely a war against women and your wanting to maintain a state control over their bodies.

You say you want a smaller government and less government controls (you especially do not want the government to control guns and ammunition), but when it comes to a woman and her body, it seems you want complete government control over her health and reproductive rights.

Be a leader and protect women and children, and don't make us frightened that we will be set back 60 years. We live in a democracy, not a nation of dictators, and in our country women are full citizens entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
